Project Director, iDEA
Syed Mojibul Huq is leading Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) project of Bangladesh Computer Council under the ICT Division as Project Director (Additional Secretary). He was born in 1964 at Nizpanua village of Chhagalnaiya Upazila under Feni District.
The name of his father is S. Azizul Huq and mother is Rahima Begum. His father was the government officer and worked in Bangladesh Railway, Chattogram. For this reason, He studied in Chattogram and completed SSC from Chittagong Collegiate School and also completed HSC from Chittagong College. Mr. Huq completed his graduation and Post-Graduation in Statistics from University of Chittagong. He has taken diploma in Project Management from University of the Philippines.
Mr. Huq started his journey as a senior officer in Pubali Bank. He belongs to BCS (Education) cadre, BCS 9th batch. Then he served 2 years as a teacher in Chittagong College. After that, He joined as BCS (Economic) cadre in 11th batch of BCS. In 2010, he joined as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. He also has experiences to work at the different position in the Ministry of Information, Bangladesh Planning Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and Co-operative and ICT Division. He also visited in United Kingdom, United States, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines etc. He is expert in Project Planning & Management, Leading National and International Event, Budgeting and Policy Making etc. He was the project director of 64 District Freedom Fighters Complex and last pay commission as a coordinator and researcher.
Now, He is working as Project Director of Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) Project and working for the development of Startups of Bangladesh to build Digital Bangladesh.
